How a bad race turn into something positive

Yesterday I did my 7th half marathon.  I actually loved the set up for this race and the atmosphere (love racing spectators) but my time really sucked.  I know why I had such a bad time for this race...my nutrition sucked and my training was maybe 60%.  I am just happy I finished this race.  a couple of weeks ago I said to my husband that I probably shouldn't run this race.  Even with a bad time I am just happy that I ran and completed it.  My goal for next year is to finish a half marathon in under 2 hrs.  Do I think that I can do this...I do.  I finished my 2nd half in 2hrs and 7 min so I know that it is possible.  train smart (log in the miles and eat clean), cross train (bootcamp exercises) and keep a positive attitude.  I have a 10 mile race in December, pobably will do the chilly half in march as well as the around the bay (30K).  I am not sure if I will do the scotia bank one next year (will all depend on what my schedule is).  It would be fun to do some new races too.  One thing for sure is that I need a new pair of sneakers and some compression socks.  I would love to have had them yesterday and for the next few days.  I am feeling ok today but yesterday was a different story.

My diet has been soso.  That is the story of my life.  If I want to get more serious with my running my nurtrition needs to improve a great deal.  Need to have the majority of my eats being clean!!!

I have just 2 shifts and then off again for 5 days.
