7 days of clean eating

I am going to do my best to eat as clean as possible forever but will take it 1 week (actually 1 day) at a time.  I am going to use recipes and  ideas from my simply for life program but also from the knowledge that I have gained over the last few years.

Today I had a PT session with Jill and my goodness I am so out of shape it is crazy.  I was hoping to be able to do the around the bay 30K but based on how I felt today I really can't see that happen.  I will do my best to improve my endurance again for running and hope I have it back by the spring.  So in the mean time I will be strength training, and running at the gym when the weather sucks and then running outside (when I run at the gym I will do some interval training which means I need to look up some interval programs to follow).

So this week I have a pretty good idea of what I will take to work to eat and that is all i can eat.  I need to stop the snacking just for something to do.  That is a huge reason why I gained a lot of this weight back.   we have 5 weeks til cams and then 6 weeks til the new year.  I would love to have 20 lbs off by Dec 31st so we will see if I can do it.

My first big challenge will be mon-wed of next week when I am in the states with the girls for shopping.  i am going to make sure I have tons of water on me and then make sure that I have healthy snacks too.  When we go out to eat I will make sure that I make the healthiest choices that I can.

My eats for today:

Breakfast:  3 egg white omelette with 1/4 c black beans, red onion 1 TBSP of salsa
                  orange

Lunch:  Chunky chicken veggie soup
             1/2 WW ezekiel tortilla

Snack:  kashi bar

Supper:  Chili Chicken
               1/2 sweet potato

Snack:  apple
             1 TBSP natural PB

I used to eat like this all the time and it made me feel so amazing.  I so want to get that healthy lifestyle back!!!!  I am turning 40 in 9 days so I need to keep my eating healthy for 99% of the time because if I don't then the weight will keep piling on and it will be so much harder to get it off!!!!

Here is to a healthy journey.

Simply for Life

So I signed up for 2 months of simply for life.  It was at a good price and I really need to do something to jump start my weight loss.  I know that I can do this I just need to keep my motivation up.  After going on our trip I must say that it helped with my motivation.  I want to be able to wear whatever I want and  not struggle with having to find the right sizes.  That is what I loved when I had lost the weight before.  I had no problem finding clothes which is such a struggle when  you are over weight.  I want to feel better physically and mentally.  Tonight when Kevin gets back from hockey I will do my best to get out for a 3Km run.  I really need to start running regularly again.  I ran 2x when we were away and it felt great (a different experience running on the track on the boat).

I have my menu planned for the week and am using today to prep most of the food.  I am making 2/3 of the meals today (may even do the 3rd one too).

well speaking of planning meals I should start working on the 2nd one.

Have a great week.  I will probably weigh myself in the morning (even though it is super early) so that I can do an official WI for progress next monday.
