So tomorrow after I do my 16K run (which I am a little nervous about) I will be dragging myself to WI. I am done with putting crap in my body. I would say for the last 5 months I have not been eating very clean at all. My meals are usually the clean type but I have been having lots of snacks that are for sure not "clean". I really have noticed a change in myself both physically and mentally and I don't like where I am heading so I am starting today to clean up my act and get back to the healthy habits that I worked to hard to achieve. I felt my best last summer and fall and I will get back to that point. I will buy myself a 3 month journal which allows me to track for 12 weeks and I know that if I eat clean and stay active that I will get back to my feel good weight. The 12 week mark will put us at July 16th and as it turn out I will be able to actually WI on that day.
My activities that I will do will be bootcamp 2-3x/week and run the other days and fit hot yoga in as many days as I can since I love it so much. I want to get back to the shape I was in. I won't be signing up for any more long runs after my half in May for the rest of the year. I will stick with 5, 10 and 15 K runs until I next March when I will attempt to do the Around the Bay 30K road race :) I want to focus more on strength training which I get from bootcamp. If I can't get a bootcamp in then I will try to get to the gym to do some form of strength training.
My diet...I know that eating clean is easy for me but I need to cut way back on the snacking. I am not sure why I fell back into the old lifestyle but I am done. if I want snacks in the evening when watching TV I will have some plain air popped popcorn. When I am at work I need to cut back on the snacking on my night shifts. There is really no need of me doing it and i need to drink water instead and if I am hungry (like on my 2nd night) I need to have my cooler filled with healthy snack options like fruit, nuts, air popped popcorn etc. I will clean up my diet...I am making this a promise to myself and my family :) I have all those awesome clothes that I bought last summer that I will fit into once again :)
My activity for today will be run 6K (while my hubby rollerblades) and then a mini bootcamp. I would love to do the hour long one but really I shouldn't since I am doing my long run tomorrow. Like I said once my half marathon is over I can maybe get 2-3 hrs of bootcamp in.
Well I should make a grocery list so that I can achieve this goal that I have. I can't believe that I will be going back to work on sunday. I do feel like I have had a lot of time off which really does make it hard to go back ;)
