I can't beleive that tomorrow is the beginning of July. June was an up and down month for sure as far as eating went. I am happy to say that I have lost 8.6 lbs during this month :) I would have liked more but like I said an up and down month kept me from losing more.
My goals for the upcoming month are
clean eating
continue training for my half
go to yoga 2x/week
bootcamp 2-3x/week
stay OP with WW and go for weekly WI's if able too
Here is to a great month and for staying focused while away this long weekend.

Backyard Bootcamp
I didn't really feel like going to a bootcamp class today as I was working on getting my laundry done so when I was somewhat caught up and waiting for clothes to dry I went out in the back yard by the pool and did a mini boocamp class courtesy of Jill Ings-Robillard from better body bootcamp (believe fitness). This is what I did:
40 butt kicks, 40 jumping jacks, 10 burpess, 20 alternating lunges - repeat x2
10 front lunges, 10 side lunges, 10 reverse lunges with weights, 10 diving lunges, 20 shoulder press, 15 best over rows and 10 hard pushups - repeat x1
walking lunges with weights (20 steps), 10 burpess and 15 one legged stretch/leg - repeat x3
then I stretched. I was actually shakey after this workout which to me means I had a great one and will probably feel it tomorrow. I know that if I can do workouts like this 3x/week plus my running and a couple of yoga classes/week and eat healthy I will get to my feel good weight :)
well I should eat some lunch, shower, straigten hair and get all the laundry dried, folded and put away and then it will be almost time to head out for supper (I think).

16 Weeks
16 weeks until I run my 3rd half marathon. I have already started training 2 weeks ago so I have figured that I would do a couple of repeat weeks during my training provided that I don't miss any long runs.
So since I am starting this training I need to focus on clean, healthy, portion controlled eating but with one treat on the day of my long run. I need to stop having the daily treats and really focus on just having 1/week which will make it so much more exciting. I think that I will make a reciped from Oh She Glows and freeze them individually to have as my treat. They are a type of square that looks so amazing. I will have to make a trip to goodness me for some of the needed ingredients. I think I will wait until after the holiday before I make this trip. I may actually wait until after payday.
of course this journey starts with a night of eating out :( I will make the healthiest choices possible during the day and then be smart when picking my meal. We are going to an italian rest. though which means I really should have a nice glass of wine (provided they have a kind that I like). I am going to dinner and then to see Tim McGraw with a couple of girls from work. i am really looking forward to this :) Should be a great time.
Well i will try and keep you updated on how the training and eating is going and I know i have said this before but I will try and add some pictures to my blog to make it more interesting.

Getting it together...it is a must
Seriously though, I don't understand why I am having such a hard time getting my eating under control. One week today until July 1st. I am going to use this week to get it together and then really focus on July as a clean eating month with a few times of eating out. I need to do this for myself. I am no where near as heavy as I was before but the numbers on the scale are not where I want them to be so I need to work on getting back to that feel good weight.
This morning I had a bowl of oatmeal. I have some beans on the stove cooking so I can make a batch of chili and 2 pkgs of turkey thawing. 1 is for the chili and the other is for my turkey burgers which are a mush for my lunch. I really do love this burgers and I don't seem to get sick of them which is a very good thing.
Not sure what I will do for activity today. It is supposed to be a rest day but if it is not raining I may go for a walk later. I am just waiting for those beans to cook and if it isn't raining I will go for my walk. I do have a wax appt this afternoon and then I need to get groceries. I need to do this so that I don't make frequent trips to the grocery store which really adds up in the end.
The husband and I went to watch Hangover 2 last night. I have heard people say that it wasn't that great but it made me laugh out loud at many parts which is always a good thing (not as much as Bridesmaids though). Overall I liked this movie.
Well I need to get going and start on a weeks worth of laundry. That is my goal to do laundry weekly and put it all away :)

Leave the past behind
I think that is a big reason why I am at a stand still right now when it comes to healthy eating and getting back to my happy weight. I keep focusing on where I was. I need to move on and focus on eating healthy each day so that in the end I will be back to that weight. The more I think about how I let it slip away depresses me and makes it hard to stay motivated.
So with that said I am going to do a challenge for myself. 1 year of staying OP. Honestly I know I can do it if I put my mind to it. There will be rewards weekly and monthly when I have had a perfect week/month.
Here is to a WW year :) which will lead to a healthy lifestyle.

A picture speaks volumes :(
Last night I was out with a bunch of girls from work to send off a great coworker who is leaving us to go back out west. We had a picture taken and like my title says it speaks volumes. I look like I am so bloated :( It was a bit of a reality check and I have my WW 3 month meal tracker out this morning and it is time to get serious again about tracking. I need to do this for me. I want to find that happiness I had last year when I was doing so well with healthy eating and exercising. I felt so full of life back then. I want that back and I need to remember that I am the only one that can get that back!!!
I had a big bowl of oatmeal this morning. I am thinking that I need to find something as healthy but less points for my breakfast. I think that protein pancakes will have to make an appearance again. They are yummy, filling and strawberries make the perfect topping for them.
Even though I am eating out again tomorrow I am using today as my getting back on track day. I will make the smartest choice I can tomorrow when we eat out.
NKOTBSB tomorrow night, can't wait.

Bread and Honey :)
This morning we got up nice and early so that we could get to my 15K race. It was a beautiful morning when I got up at 5:30 but I knew that it meant it would most likely be quite warm for the run. That is ok though after all the cool weather I have ran in.
The course had a few more hills then I expected but overall I loved the course and would probably do this race again. I did it in 1 hr and 40 min which I am happy with that time. I even had a few walk breaks. The one things I did not like that there were no porta pots along the race route. Thankfully I did not really have to go.
Now that I have this 15K under my belt I am contemplating what to do with my long runs while training for my half marathon in October. It is a bit soon to start training but since I do have 15K done I think I will make my long runs that distance or more and just keep doing longer distances. Maybe some longer runs will be half marathon or more distances. I would love at some point get to 30K before the nice weather runs out so that i know I can do it and sign up for around the bay. if I know I can run 30K then my focus for that race in march will not be so much on the distances as more focus on hills. I will keep doing the longer distance once a week but it will be nice to keep steady with a lot of mileage.
I guess my main focus now is to keep eating as healthy as I can. I know the 2 nights at work where we had a bistro and ordered out one night was a little more indulgence then I should have had but I will just carry on. I have 2 nights that I am eating out this coming week too. I just need to make sure that I watch what I eat during the day and for the rest of the week.
Have a great day everyone.

June Challenge :)
Wow, I really can't believe that it is June 1st, CRAZY. I feel very positive that this month I will be getting my act together and am looking forward to eating healthy foods and having exercise as part of my daily life. The exercise has always been good but i want it to be even better. What would make it better is to be training for something. I know that my 16 weeks does not start until towards the end of June but I will follow somewhat of a schedule up until the half marathon training starts. I will work on strength training now and even when the training starts. I really think that working on my core and leg strength will make me a stronger runner.
What this will entail is running 4-5 x/week with bootcamp 2-3x/week. One day I will overlap the running and bootcamp which will mean a shorter run and maybe just a mini bootcamp but it will all depend on what day it falls on and what is available for bootcamp classes. I really would like to get to yoga 3-4x/week again too as this helps me in so many ways. I would have loved to go today but as soon as I am done writting this entry I will be heading for a nap. This is night 1 of 3.
My eating has been pretty good but I still have the issue of too big of a snack in the evening. I need to start freezing some bananas again to make banana softserve. This would be a much better choice then the oatmeal that I have so often.
Here are my challenges for the month of June:
Keep my house organized (really need to work on this)
Track food consuption and stay OP
Weekly WI's at weight watchers
Exercise
Drink lots of water
No mindless spending
Plan weekly menus for the family
Less TV (all reruns so no need to be glued to the TV)
Here is go a great month :) Time for a nap.
