Month 2 Results

I am officially down 18.8 lbs as of today and I am feeling so great.  I was hoping for 20 lbs but i will take the 18.8 lbs for sure.  I am excited to see what march will bring as far as weight loss and changes in my body shape with all the exercise.  I have a few days in March that I will be doing things but I will keep getting right back on track.

I will be working 5 shifts my next set so I need to make sure that I have a menu planned out for those shifts.  I am hoping to try a few different things (not new things but just different then what I have been eating...still clean).  I haven't had chilli in so long over salad so I think that will be one thing that I will make and my go to meal of chicken with broccoli, peppers and onion.  the rest of the stuff is pretty easy (I would like a new evening snack idea too).

I am loving my lean and fit, tread and shred classes and it is so awesome that on weekdays that I work I can do the early morning class and still go to work on time.  Some days i can't get to a class and either run/ walk on the treadmill or go for a walk outside.  I am loving the days that I get a double workout in as well.  I need to make sure that I don't burn out though but really all these workouts are making me feel so great physically and mentally.

I have had 3 sessions of physio for my knee and I find it is helping.  what I realized today is that my muscles are so tight so I need to make sure to stretch after every class so I don't injure myself even more.  I feel at a good place right now and don't want that to change.

Well I am hoping to find some fun meal ideas on pinterest tonight while just hanging out on the couch.  Keeping it low key after a night shift 😀😀😀

Double workout

This morning when I woke up (just before my alarm) I changed it to a later time and cancelled my lean and fit class.  Then a few min later I changed it back to 5 and signed up again for the 6 am class. I am so glad that I went.  It was a tough but amazing class and I was dripping in sweat when I was done.  Then I had the crazy idea of going to Jills to focus more on strength training.  That was a crazy morning of working out but I am happy that I did it.  Saturday and sunday will not have any strength training but just some running on the treadmill.   All this activity I am doing is making me feel awesome (but so tired too).

I went to a new (to me) grocery store and was so shocked by how much less it was then what I pay where I normally go.  I think it would be worth it to go there now for my groceries.  The only thing is that I forgot my list at home so I was going based on memory.  I will try not to do that again.  Most of what I wanted was there but then went to the place in town today for a few things i forgot and it was crazy expensive!!!

I have a weekly menu made for myself so I will do some prep today and the rest tomorrow.  I am working 3 days and a night this set so I need to have 3 days worth of food ready come friday morning.

I have a bunch of appts tomorrow so I need to try and get this kitchen of mine organized.  I need to take advantage of being in the house by myself and get work done.  The kitchen is my priority today. I am tried of all the clutter but it is not going to clean itself.

Well that is all for today.  Hopefully in a few hours I will have a clean and organized kitchen :)

Another week in :)

So after my indulgences last weekend I got right back on the wagon and had a very successful week of eating clean and working out.  I was planning on doing the learn to run program on my treadmill saturday and sunday but it was so nice out that I took advantage of the weather and went for a walk.

Since January 1st I am down 16.2 lbs.  Having 20 lbs off by the end of the month would be awesome but that is only 9 days away.  I will just keep doing what I have been doing and hopefully will see good results on the scale.

Tomorrow I will be heading out to Jills for a good strength training class but the rest of the week will be at lean and fit and hopefully some running on the treadmill.  I am feeling so much better now that I am eating healthy and exercising.  My body is a bit sore but a good sore.

I have made a menu for the week and on tuesday I will get the groceries to be totally prepared for another week of being on track.

Well that is all for now.  I will be doing a WI next tuesday and will let you know how that goes and then of course on March 1st I will do another one just to see what I am starting the month at.

mid month update

After a crazy girls weekend I am getting right back on track with the eating and exercise.  I feel like I had a huge break from exercise but really I only had 2 days away from it.  I had done 5 classes last week and I plan on exercising every day this week.  I went to Jills yesterday and tues-friday will be lean and fit classes and sat and sun will be some running on the treadmill.  I need to try and do that today and friday as well but I find it so hard to exercise throughout the day.  I think though that I will try mid afternoon and hopefully that will wake me up.  I found a 10 week program in one of my running books but will be starting on week 3 since I have been doing some already.

I need to come up with some meal ideas for the next 2 days for at work.  I have 2 meals thought out but I need 4 more.  it is getting a little bit hard so I need to do some research on ideas that will be fun and yummy.

I have been so tired lately too but I think it has to do with the exercise I have been doing.  I need to make sure that I go to bed between 9-10 pm.

I want to give up diet coke but I think I will just cut it down to 1 can/day instead of a bottle.  I need to not drink it when I get home from my day shift either cause I am sure that extra caffeine does not help me have a full nights sleep.

well I should get going now.  I have a bunch of stuff I need to do before starting back to my set tomorrow.

week 3

So I started week 3 of lean and fit yesterday and I am still going strong.  Yes I have had a couple of days in those 3 weeks that I have eaten out and  of course had a few drinks but the big difference for me is that I don't get off track following those meals that wouldn't be on the plan.  This is an area that I struggled with.  I felt that I had to be 100% or not on the wagon at all.  That is not the case.  I need to make smart choices the majority of the time and allow myself those treat meals.

The exercise is going great.  I am constantly feeling the muscles aching which is always a sign of a good workout for me.  This week will be challenging but I am going to do my best to stick with the schedule I have made for myself.  I still haven't decided if I will hit up the gym at blue mountain when we are there but if I do I will just be doing my run program.  I really should since I won't get many runs in this week (because of work and wanting to go to lean and fit classes).

I am spending today doing meal prep for my 4 days.  I am making sure to have all the meals done (except my shakes...will make those each night when I get home from work).  Cooking after a 12 hr shift is the last thing that I want to be doing.  I will have to go out and get groceries soon and then Will finish up the rest of my meal prep and do laundry and some cleaning.  I really hope that I have as productive of a day as I planned.  I hope to have everything done by supper tonight and then just have a nice relaxing evening of doing nothing :)

I am debating on signing up for around the bay 5k.  I am not sure if I will be able to run that distance in 2 months but it would for sure be something to work towards (plus all my other goals).   I will talk to my husband tonight and see if he wants to do it with me.  I so miss running and I really hope I can get myself up to running 10K.  I know I have a treadmill which will hopefully help but in the warmer months I hope to get outside to do some running again.  my 6K route was my favourite route to do.

Well I must be off and get some groceries.  I really need to stay off the computer and get my work done!!!!!!

A new month

I can't believe that it is already Feb 1st.  January flew by.  Started the month off great with 2 great workouts...fasted cardio on my treadmill and then went to a lean and fit class this afternoon.  I am going to have supper out tonight but I don't plan on blowing it tonight.  Hopefully they will have a soup that sounds good.  I don't want anything too heavy.  I will be having some wine though.  Working hard on still being able to go out and have a meal out and then being right back on track :)

So I weighed myself today and I am happy to say that for the month of January I am down 12.8 lbs :) That makes me so happy .  I even had 3 nights out in this month which makes it even more exciting.

I am going to work extra hard in February so I can get at least 10 lbs off.  I will just keep doing what I am doing and just be great in the kitchen and not go too crazy for girls weekend away.  I need to make sure that I don't go crazy with the food and booze and drink lots of water and get exercise in.

I will do my best to get the house cleaned up over the next 2 days so I won't be stressed about doing it on saturday and I will also work on meal planning and meal prep.  Working 4 days in a row means I want to have all my meals made in advance...including breakfast.  I hate coming home after work and making a meal.

Almost supper time which is good cause I am getting hungry.
