1st day

Well I was up bright and early this morning...thanks to a barking dog.  It kind of sucked since I had to get up at 5:15 to go for my first Lean and Fit class.  the drive wasn't too bad and the workout was actually amazing.  I was able to do it and sure felt the burn.  It is different then what I do at my other classes since we are moving all the time.  Kind of like how bootcamp was when I first started it.

Then I had to go back for a nutrition information session.  This is going to be a big change for me eating a protein, carb and fat with every meal.  I am trying to plan my meals for the week but am finding it hard to come up with ideas.  I just wish they had more posts on the Facebook page of meal ideas.  Maybe I will suggest that.

I am going to a concert tonight and am really looking forward to this night out.  One thing this plan says is no alcohol for 21 days but I have too many things going on to do that.  I will just have to make sure to be perfect all the other days.

Lean and Fit

I can't believe that I did this again but I signed up for a year of Lean and Fit.  The distance between this place and my other bootcamp is about the same but there are more class times for Lean and Fit.  I will still go to my other bootcamp on weekends that I am off but hopefully on weekdays I will be going to this new place.  The new set up is pretty awesome, just 30 min workouts and they have a nutrition program.  I want to learn the right way to eat.  When I eat healthy I do ok but there is so much more room for improvement.

I am doing my first workout there tomorrow bright and early (6 am) and then later have a nutrition info session.  I want to give this 100% but I do have a concert or 2 that I will want a few drinks.  I also have a girls weekend in February.  I will be 100% on all the days leading up to and after these events (this to me is more realistic).  I am very interested in seeing what the nutrition session is all about.  I just have all these aches and pains (my left knee and my right arm).  I just hope that with losing weight these pains will be less.

I will right a little post tomorrow or friday on how these 2 things went.  Here is to a healthy and active year :)

Week 1

Technically my WI should be tomorrow but I will be having a couple of drinks tonight (I think) so I did it this morning.  I have been sick with a chest cold so I haven't been able to do any exercise at all. My intake though has been very good with trying to eat as clean as possible and tracking my points.  When I got on the scale this morning I was down 7.2 lbs!!!!  I can't wait until I can exercise again...hopefully tomorrow.  I am not coughing as much but still had a spell or 2 during the night.  I did take today off work as working with this cold on a night shift took a lot out of me!!

Tomorrow and monday will be spent cleaning the house and meal planning and prepping for the week.  I start back to my regular schedule at work on tuesday.

I need to get in to see my family Dr and find out the results of the MRI I had on my Knee.  I am a little nervous and don't want to have anything done until I lose some weight (actually a lot of weight).  I don't know if I will need something done but just based on what the tech told me it has been on my mind.  It actually has been feeling ok so hopefully I don't but if I do I want to wait until I get this extra weight off.  As of right now I want 48.2 lbs off.

I was supposed to be getting my treadmill but they made a mistake a sold it to someone else.  The next one is supposed to come in on the 18th.  I will be very upset if I don't get this one.  the sales lady was quite upset that they sold it since she knows my husband.  I really want to start running so I may go to the gym to do this until I get my own treadmill.

I have a feeling today will be quite a lazy day but I feel like i need it.  just browsing the internet and coming up with a menu for the upcoming week.

Well that is all for today.  Hopefully when I check in next weekend I will have another positive result with the scale.  I feel like my head is finally in the game and I hope to keep up with feeling so motivated.

yo yo dieting

Yesterday at work we were having the conversation about losing lg amts of weight and then putting them back on and how hard that must be on your body.  I having been doing that for years.  I never used any chemicals or any drastic weight loss tactics but clearly I have a major issue with keeping weight off.  This time I am just going to take each day at a time and make sure I just make healthy choices.  I think all the other times I have not allowed myself to have meals eating out which I need to just do that when the opportunity arises and just make the best choice possible.

I am so looking forward to my treadmill getting here.  I want to really start running again.  I just hope when I get the results of my MRI it won't put a stop to that.  I really want to make it to bootcamp this week so it means that I will have to suck it up and go after working nights.  Not fun but I am going to try really hard to go wednesday and friday.

So my 2 days that I have been on track of gone well and I am amazed (but not really surprised) at how great it makes me feel (well except for this cold that can't decide what it is going to do).  I just really want to keep this healthy eating up.

Well that is all for now.  I will check in on sunday with week 1's WI results.

2017 Goals

Basically the last few years I haven't really achieved any of my goals that I had set for myself but I am going to make sure that I do achieve them for 2017.

Goals:

1.  Lose weight (I want to be about 140 lbs)
To achieve this goal I will make sure to meal plan and prep for a week in advance.  I will make sure I have a dedicated day to plan my meals and get groceries and another day will be do cook these meals.  I will have healthy/yummy snacks on hand so i don't grab unhealthy ones.  I have a 12 week WW planner and I will make sure to follow the point system to help get a jump start at the weight loss.  When i am not working I will make sure to go to Jills for class if she it is on a day that she has them.  I should be getting a treadmill this week and my goal is to start running again.  I will try and use it every day as I really want to start running again.   It will be awesome to have it right in my house and I should be able to get up early and do it.  I will make sure to run before my husband goes to work so that charlie won't be chasing me.  I think I have a good program to start from.  It ranges from 30 min to 77 min.

2.  Pay off some debt
I really need to be better with my money.  I just finished paying off a loan so I will have an extra $300 which will help me get a jump start at paying off some of my other debts.  I will make weekly grocery lists to try and cut down on the running to the grocery store in between which adds up quickly.  I will try to go to another place for groceries as the place here in town is so much more expensive.  I will try to pick up one OT/month if it is offered.

3.  Get my house in order
We have so much random junk in this house and I really want to start organizing things and purging.  If we ever had to move I would not want to have tons of junk to get rid of.  I will start by going through the Cmas decorations and only keeping what we actually use.  Everything else I will throw away or try and sell in the town wide yard sale in June.  I should make it our goal to actually have lots of stuff to sell and anything that we don't sell we will donate or throw away.  I will do my best to have set days to clean the house.  The day before I go to work for my set and then my first day off after my set.  That should make it for a much neater/cleaner house.  I want our house to be in order so that I feel ok at any point if anyone wants to come and visit.  I will do my best to keep the dishes done and put away at the end of each day.

These are the 3 things I really want to work on for the year.  I am hoping that when i reflect on 2017 I will be able to say that I achieved my goals.

Trying to get motivated!!

It is so hard to keep up the motivation to eat healthy.  It is going to take a lot of work and I need to gear myself up for it.  writing it down here will hopefully help some.  Right now I am wanting the healthy, in shape body but I am constantly struggling with the mind set that I need to achieve that.  I am not getting any younger so I need to do it now.  I need to stop saying that I will start tomorrow.  One day there won't be a tomorrow and I don't want that to happen!!!  I have so many things coming up in the new year and I want to not have to worry about what to wear etc.

This is the holiday season where lots of treats will be available so i need to keep asking myself if it is really worth it!!!!

December

Wow, it is already december.  This year has flown by.  I am sure part of it has to do with all the adventures that we had.  Camping, lots of concerts/festivals...a couple of awesome trips.  The thing that I am upset about this year is that I spent it wanting to lose weight but didn't achieve that goal.  This month I am going to do my best to stay on track and have a jump start at weight loss.  I am so over wanting to be thinner.  it won't just happen.  It is something I have to work at and I don't want to be seen as a quitter or weak.  I am going to do this!!!!

My goal for this month and in the year to come is:

1.  Meal plan
2.  Regular exercise
3.  Keeping my house clean and organized
4.  Much less screen time
5.  Decrease amount of Debt

Those are 5 of my major goals.  I know that I can do this!!!

I am looking forward to an awesome month and can't wait to ring in a new year :)
