I am writting this post early as I am working the next 2 nights and I am at home today while Matthew has his group in the basement.
I can't believe that september is just around the corner. I have been doing some thinking about the summer and can't believe I spent so much time talking about getting back to my healthy weight and how I did not do it :( What I am proud of though is that I am doing well in the running department again. I am pretty pumped (and nervous) about my upcoming half marathon in October. I have a love hate relationship with training but more love for it really. This morning though I so did not want to get out of bed to run and now I wish I did. If my husband gets home on time I may head out to do some hill training. So my major goals for september will be to continue with my training and of course to get the healthy eating going 100%. I know that while we were away I felt so great on the days that my eating was on track and the more days I had that were healthy the better I felt. so my little trick will be to get a calender and add stickers to each day that I eat healthy and when I have completed a week I will get a small reward and when I have a month of stickers it will be a little bigger reward and of course the biggest reward will be when I am healthy and at a healthy weight :)
I want to strive to eat clean. It made me feel so much better when I was. Putting crap into my body just does not make sense. It really does make me feel like "crap"
Other things I will work on is getting my house in order. Not having a house in order makes me feel so disorganized and I don't like feeling that way.
I am hoping to be able to attend bootcamp again. I really hope that J will be able to start 2 of her classes 15 minutes later so that I can make it out to her place :)

Back to Reality
So early yesterday morning (or very late at night depends on how you look at it) we made it back from our trip and to be honest it is great to be home. I am not too happy about heading back to work though. That happens tomorrow :(
My exercise was great while we were away. I stuck to my training plan for my half marathon 100% and since we have been home now for 2 days I have still stuck to my plan. I did 5K yesterday which was hard after traveling all night and today I did 14K which went pretty good :)
My eating was ok as long as I wasn't at my moms. Why does my moms food always taste to extra yummy. Oh well, now that I am at home I am really getting back on track with the whole tracking points and eating as clean as possible.
I am going to WI after my nights which means as of Sept 1st I will do weekly WI's again and I think I will go for offical ones as WW'ers too and post it on my blog.
That is all for now. Going to read some more blogs while I finish my morning coffee.

Finally Arrived
On saturday we left after I got home from running 10K :), showered and got my b'fast ready and our 2 day journey to fredericton began. We camped just outside of worcester, Mass and then in Bar Harbour. I have actually been doing really good with the eating and I hope that it will continue. Considering that we haven't really stayed in one stop for very long and having to eat out I am qutie pleased. I will be going to get groceries tomorrow after I get back from my run (I just hope that it isn't raining like it is now).
I am getting so tired so I think that I will go to bed. Night

Getting 100% focused
I will attempt to stay as focused on clean eating while we are away but I know that when we come back from Vacation I am going to be 100% focused on getting back to my healthy weight. Last night I had some treats for my son's bday party. I don't feel guilty about having them but what I did do was have some things after the party and too late at night. Late night eating can make for feeling gross the next day. All I can really do is focus on eating healthy today which is what I plan on doing.
I am so happy that I only have 2 more shifts until I will have some time off. The 5 nights that I did is going to take a while to recover from, especially since there are 2 days coming up of work. Oh well, I will just suck it up and keep remembering that I will be off soon :)
I was going to do hill training today but slept in until 8 and plus it was pouring out so needless to say it did not happen. I need to make sure to get up early enough tomorrow to get the 5K portion of this weeks training done. Thursday I should get up and do some strength training.
I need to make a list of things I need to do before we go away. That is something I could do instead of reading blogs, but you know which was is more fun ;)

Done my nights
I finished 5 nights in a row...I was pretty tired last night but when I got home I was not able to sleep for whatever reason. So I pulled on my running clothes and got my 4K run in before the heat set in. It was still pretty warm but not as warm as this afternoon. I am really feeling tired now. I am just going to run out and get a bday card for my little boy and then come home and have about 1 hr nap. It probably will make me feel worse but I really need it.
My eating was so good on my nights and I know that tomorrow I won't even have time to eat since I have so much work to get done around the house. I already have the bathroom cleaned and the kitchen. I may tackle the fridge tomorrow. We really need to eat up what is left in the fridge.
I just decided to go an nap now. Have a great monday afternoon.

One more to go
Just a couple of hours and I will be starting night number 5. NEVER AGAIN will I do that many nights in a row, actually I would do 5 nights over 5 days any day but a mixture would have been much better. We actually had a decent night. I have been in charge on these nights (well it will be 4 out of the 5) and sometimes when I give report in the morning I feel like such a tool. sometimes I feel like I am letting the day staff down but then the girls that I have actually done the shift with tell me that I did a great job and to me that is what matters. I am learning from this and know areas that I need to improve on. so instead of focusing on the insecurities I have about having this responsibility I need to take it as a learning experience.
Eating has been great. Tonight though I am getting a Skinny Vanilla Lattee and a half maja salad from wendy's. I figure a treat is well deserved on my 5th night ;)
I took today off from running but went for a long walk. I don't think I could have ran in this heat.
Well I am going to have a busy week ahead. I need to spend minimal time on the computer. Way too many things to get done.

What was I thinking...
So last night I went to work for an overtime shift. I work 2 more nights which means I will once again have worked 60 hrs in 5 days, this time though all my shifts have been nights. I have so many things that I need to do in the next week before we go away.
since I worked nights last night i did not do my long run this week. It will have to wait until next sat. I found it really hard to run today so I ran 4.6Km and walked probably 1 - 1.5 Km's. I found the humidity was pretty bad this afternoon and it doesn't help when I have worked nights.
I am doing good on the eating front. The scale is showing good results. I am hoping to have 4-5 lbs off before we leave. If I keep eating this healthy and exercising everyday it may happen. I need to make sure to stay OP while we are away so I am going to bring my scale with me just to keep me in check. i think in 2 weeks after I had my huge breakdown I am down 10.6 lbs (actually a little over 2 weeks)...not too bad and i did have one binge session in that 2 week period but I feel good about having my focus back and will be so busy this week that I should be ok.
I am excited about having 16 days off. It is well deserved and I am actually looking forward to spending some time with my husband and the boys. We need some quality family time.

Binge Eating
This is something that I have struggled with my whole life. I just had one on the 2nd and it was awful...the way I felt after I mean. I wonder why I even do it. yes while I am putting the things in my mouth it may give a second of gratification but the end result is so not worth it. what is worth it is feeling healthy at the end of the day and happy with the choices that you have made. I picked myself up and moved on.
Yesterday post binge I did not get up and do my run. I felt hung over and did not get a great sleep. The good news is that my inlaws took my little man for the afternoon and after I had a nap I went for a 5K run :)
stop thinking about the past, focus on the present for a positive future.

Aug 1st
This year is slipping away and I am just now getting back on track. I just started a new WW journal and it is for 12 weeks. 12 weeks of tracking and staying OP, there really is no reason why I can't do this.
In order to do this I am making a huge batch of soup that should do me for lunches until we leave on our trip. I am really going to have to plan it out carefully my meals for when we are away. I am not going to blow it on our vacation. I think that it will help since I will be training for the half marathon.
speaking of the half marathon I had a pretty good run this morning. I actually was running faster then normal which surprised me. I need to remember when doing my long runs to start out slow and gradually build up my speed. I start hill training tomorrow which should be lots of fun ;) along with the hill training I really am going to try and get a bootcamp workout in. I may do it before supper. I am thinking 3:30 would be a great time to go out and do it. I need to really focus on getting 3 strength training workouts in a week.
