Reflections on Week 1 of the cleanse

I was a little bit nervous heading into this cleanse because I thought I may not be able to eat the foods on the cleanse due to my fussiness but I was pleasantly surprised.  The food is amazing on the cleanse and I figured out that I can adapt things too as portion sizes are huge and with only me doing this it leads to tons of leftovers. I still have quite a few things leftover heading into week 2 so as I said before I will really have to sit down and think about my menu for week 2.  This has always been such a key for me to stay on the healthy eating bandwagon…menu planning and meal prep.  I really think that this cleanse will help me get my butt back in gear so get on the wagon again and just keep going and not look back.

On the exercise front I have done ok.  The runs/walks I did ok with but really want more strength training workouts.  I should be able to get 3 in next week (mon, fri and sunday).  The rest of the days I will use to run (saturday I have a 5K race which will be so hard but I am happy I am doing it),

The scale was un believable today when I got up.  I know a lot of it is due to the fact I have done a lot of night shifts this week and water weight but I was down 11.2 lbs…so crazy but I am so happy with those results.  This is the jump start I really needed to make me motivated to eat healthy.

Mentally I just feel clearer and have more patience then I do when I am not eating healthy which is another reason to keep this up.

Well I need to take advantage of the fact I didn't have to work my full night last night and get some work done around the house (mainly in our bedroom…we need to paint it before we bring in our new furniture).
