3rd Half-Marathon...DONE

I am happy that I finished my 3rd half. The course was beautiful, the people that were running it were friendly and if walk breaks were taken you always had someone to talk to. There were lots of water stations and portapots along the route. We also go to do trail running too which was really nice. Now some things that I didn't enjoy were the hills (need to do more hill training), how hot it was (when I got to my car after the race it said that it was 25 degrees...I can also tell my the tan lines that I have that I did get a lot of sun...should have had sunscreen on I guess) and I found my tummy was quite sluggish from eating too much at breakfast (I should not eat peanut butter before running as I kept burping peanut butter taste) and my tummy was water logged from drinking water at every water station (i needed too though because of running in the heat). I was very disappointed in my time but really I have an extra 20 lbs on my body from last year, my eating has not been spot on like it was last year when I ran my races and I did not sleep well last night. I may have not gotten a great time but am just happy I crossed the finish line and was able to cross it with my little man. Would I do another half...OF COURSE I will :)

So speaking of eating...because of this experience I am going to start eating as clean as possible and limit my pop intake and try to get a good nights sleep. I need to stop drinking pop or coffee in the evenings!!!

Well I must go meet my husband. He was in the city and is picking me up a salad from wendy's. I am going to bring it back home, eat it and then have a nap. I am feeling a bit off and think food and sleep will make me feel better.

I have a lot to do to get ready for thanksgiving so I need to feel better.
