Clean Slate

when it comes to running. I am taking today off and then on monday I will do a recovery run just to see how I feel and how my legs/hips feel. I don't have any huge races for the rest of the year but I do plan on running 15K in november so that means that I have to keep my mileage fairly decent. I have been trying to figure out why my time was so slow yesterday. It could be because I started out so fast, the extra weight, not enough training in higher mileages...I can dwell on it though. I just to move on and run/train smarter. I will have a half and a 30K in march. I won't sign up for those until I run the 15K in november.

I am slowly cooking foods for our thanksgiving supper. I have the apple crips made, the dough in the bread maker to make rolls, pumpkin pie in the oven and cooking squash (not sure if it will turn out...I like my squash a bit dry and I don't know if this squash is dry). If the squash does not turn out I will peel and chop up the sweet potato's my FIL gave me and roast them.

I hope my hubby is home soon to put the turkey on.
