Joined a Gym...

well actually I joined a new gym and need to cancel my membership at the other gym. I joined goodlife fitness. The reason I changed gyms is 1. Goodlife has a lot more classes and the classes actually interest me 2. This gym has Hot Yoga (something that I want to try and will be going to a hot yoga foundations class on friday) 3. it is in a great location 4. It has spinning classes too. 5. it does not have the bad smell that my other gym has 6. has a lot more equipment and free weights 7. has a huge studio where the classes are done but can be used by us if there are no classes going on. All good reasons to change gyms. I actually did a workout schedule for the rest of this month and Feb. I am getting my motivation back :) I ran for 20 min on the treadmill today with no pain at all. Tomorrow I will be hitting the roads for a run though so that I will be able to give a good update at my physio appt on friday.

My food consumption has been good today after a awful day yesterday.

Breakfast: greek yogurt with kashi go lean crunch and 1/2 a banana sliced

snack: 6 almonds (was not very hungry)

Lunch: turkey burger with carrots and an orange

snack: kashi bar with my coffee

supper: tilapia, quinoa with veggies, goatcheese and 1/2 a sweet potato

snack: apple and peanut butter and a pc of dk chocolate

I need to stick to this and not have anything else. This is all within my point range plus a pt or 2 over for the dk chocolate (the running would give my some AP's)

I haven't gone to WW and I wasn't going to go on saturday but I really do need to start going regularly. I know I will be up but really I need to face the music and get my butt in gear before I have more then 15-20 lbs to get off. I really feel the weight gain and I want to get back to the shape I was in during the summer and fall.

I know i can really do this and with all the new activities that I will be trying (if I stick to them) I may even be in better shape. I so want to have a rockin body all the time (but really want to look hot when K and I go away in April).

  1. Sounds like there's a lot of good classes. I can't wait to hear about hot yoga. I've thought of trying it, but for some reason I keep chickening out.
